Chinooks are a rare breed that has avoided being exploited in puppy mills, however, the breed relies on the support of Chinook owners that can keep a dog intact or raise a litter to contribute to gene pool.  This ensures there will be happy, healthy Chinooks in the future!  If you are open to exploring this option, please contact me for more information.

I am excited to be planning Sakari’s first litter, and the second generation of happy, healthy Chinooks at Bashaba.  Sakari is a big Chinook girl, over 24” tall at the shoulder.  I hope to build on her nice structure, traditional size and bone, terrific work ethic, and very outgoing personality.  She is a born lead dog with excellent speed - running in front on the team and taking trail commands.  She loves to meet new friends, and often inspires them to say they’d like a Chinook just like her.
