Bashaba Chinooks
Leading the way to Chinook Magic!
There was a family reunion (missed you, Kai!) when the pups turned 6 months, and tried their paws at dog showing. The results speak for themselves:
*Murphy - 2x Best Puppy Male/ Reserve Best Male in both of his shows!
*Tanaraq, Faith, and Sakari battled fiercely and each got one Best Female win!
*Tanaraq was also Best of Winners her very first time in the ring!
*Tikaani is a spokes-dog! She is featured in TWO pictures in the August 2009 edition of Dog Fancy magazine!
*Conaway passes his Canine Good Citizen Test! It was a long road, but victory is sweet!
Bashaba (Bah-shah-bah) Chinooks is a small kennel in New Jersey dedicated to the Chinook dog. Chinooks are a rare breed of sled dog native to New England. These all-American dogs are gentle, loyal companions who excel both as family pets and as canine competitors in just about any dog sport.
What’s New?
*Tikaani is a UKC Grand Champion! And, even with taking off over half of the show season to have puppies, she was the #9 Chinook in the country for 2009!
